Experience a different kind of Easter fire on an unforgettable evening for young and old! The theatre at the blue hour theatre presents an evening-long event in the open air on the Easter weekend.
“Pandora and Prometheus – The Song of Fire” begins punctually at 8 pm on the blue hour at the Berlin Adventure Centre. In the ritual glow of dancing flames, the theatre piece illuminates the diversity of human emotions. A skilful fusion of flow arts, dance, amateur theatre and music.

Unique event format – fire show, theatre and live music
The flaming spectacle tells the legend of Prometheus and interweaves it in a postmodern interpretation with the Greek myth of Prometheus and Pandora’s box. The alternative theatre event shows the relevance of centuries-old myths. As a central ritual element, fire brings the legends tangibly closer to a diverse audience. This is an outdoor event, so make sure you wear suitable clothing!

The fire dance retells the ancient legend
The evening is led by Apollo, god of the arts, and the muse Calliope, who want to compose a song about fire and the age-old conflict of “Emotio versus Ratio” – “heart versus brain”. They tell of the rebellion of two legends of ancient mythology: Pandora and Prometheus! In their displeasure with the laws of Olympus, Pandora, the guardian of emotions, and Prometheus, the bringer of fire, dare to conduct a risky experiment – an experiment with far-reaching consequences for the whole of humanity. How will people deal with the flames of emotion? Will Olympus be lenient? The fiery song of light and shadow of human emotions takes shape. The divine poet Apollo has one question burning on his mind: how will it be sung in the end? As a tragedy or a comedy?

The profound production with a modern touch inspires with mystical sounds, emotional vocal interludes and impressive fireworks, Emotional vocal interludes and impressive fire choreography. With fire fans, burning poi, hula hoops, sticks and rope darts, the artists demonstrate a broad spectrum of fire art. By combining this with musical performances and drama, the theatre collective creates a unique genre that is unparalleled in Germany.

Alternative DIY culture meets interdisciplinary avant-garde
As a combination of different art forms – music, flow arts, theatre and dance – the non-commercial association has provided a platform for interdisciplinary creative work since 2019. The diverse backgrounds of the 16 members enable the unrestricted exchange of individual artistic skills and the development of new concepts. Feuertheater has the potential to blur the boundaries of genres together. The theatre association builds a bridge between the independent theatre scene and contemporary circus and thus enjoys a unique position in Berlin’s alternative cultural landscape.
