Ingrid Müller-Farny PLANTUS

Plantus is a world premiere by the author Rebecca Ramlow, adapted and directed by Ingrid Müller-Farny. With music and images by pop artist Jim Avignon. Actress Julia Malik plays the female version of the editor-in-chief of a colourful German newspaper, who has lost himself in an abuse of power affair in his office. Victims can become perpetrators and femininity can become masculinity. In this process, the character JulianE develops the idea that a plant is growing inside him, reassuring, frightening, amazing. Nature rebalances our emotional confusion caused by the daily digital overload. Who will win? The internet? The old white man? The new feminism? Or simply our memory of our traumas? Nature? The plant in us? – This is the female answer to Stuckrad-Barre’s book “Noch wach!” and is based on true events..with fictional characters…
