The Butcher, a one act solo performance, is about how war becomes inscribed in the body, language and everyday objects. We draw, cut, and engrave borders everywhere: land, animals, even in the ‘airspace’. This act of drawing borders has become synonymous with being human. It is very abstract but it was for an abstraction and an idea that World War I, and also afterwards, World War II were fought, and it is still the case today.
