Welcome home – But where is home? You enter a house, an entrance hall. You smell the familiar
smell of old furniture, hear the midday coffee boiling. Or who is that: home? Is it the hand you
reach for when you step out into the morning cold of the big city, or the head you lean against
your arm as you sink into yourself?
Is it a concept or a feeling – is it real?
Welcome home! We invite you to enter the theater space with us and help shape our ideas of
home and experience the artistic signatures of three choreographers who have explored the
themes of grief, letting go and longing.
WELCOME HOME is a community project from Berlin’s independent dance scene.
